Henrik Vedeld
Manager Technology Development
Aker Oilfield Services
Currently the only means of performing evaluation and maintenance on subsea wells in deep waters have been to utilize expensive drilling rigs, as a platform for well intervention. Light well intervention vessels have been introduced to the market, but so far no operations have been performed in waters deeper than 400 meters. Aker Oilfield Services technology and operational methodology will extend the
operational depth of light well intervention form mono hull vessels up to 2500 meters.
This presentation will cover the vessel layout, operational sequence, operational limits and down hole services which will be available for operations in deep water from the Aker Oilfield Services monohull vessels in 2010.
