FIELD TRIP
Join us for an exciting field trip the day before the conference.

The field trip this year goes to Framo Engineering’s test facilities at Fusa, south of Bergen.

The advanced full-scale indoor test facilities provides flexibility to perform both wet and dry integration testing of subsea equipment to a level which fulfils the acceptance criteria for subsea installations in the field. The unique test dock is an important tool for development, verification and commercialization of oil and gas equipment specifically designed for subsea applications.

Typical testing and operations performed at FE Fusa:

  • Stack-up and system integration of subsea production systems
  • Full-scale performance, and endurance integration testing, both dry and wet
  • Installation, operation and retrieval of subsea equipment.
  • Simulation of in-field operating conditions including performance testing of multiphase equipment such as pumps and flow meters.
  • Verification/testing of systems comprising rotating equipment, control systems, connectors, power supply systems and tooling

The Framo Engineering AS Fusa facilities has had, and still have, an important role in the Norwegian subsea industry from the pioneering days of Oseberg Subsea Satellites to the presently on-going live hydrocarbon testing of the Framo Multiphase Compressor WGC4000 for the Gullfaks Gas Compression project.
Meeting point at Grieghallen. 7 June at 12:45. Transportation by bus and ferry to Fusa. Return to Grieghallen approximately 17:00.

ICEBREAKER

We invite you to the traditional UTC Icebreaker event at the Fløien Restaurant, with Bergen at your feet. The old Fløibanen funicular railway is a unique attraction. The trip starts in the city centre, just 150 metres from the Fish Market and Bryggen. From Mount Fløyen, 320 metres above sea level, you can enjoy beautiful views of Bergen and the fjords surrounding the city.
At the Fløien Restaurant we will welcome you to a buffet dinner and entertainment along with your fellow conference delegates.
You will receive tickets for the funicular for departures from the lower station from 18:30 onwards.
The icebreaker starts at 19.00.

CONFERENCE BANQUET
As the perfect ending of the first conference day, we invite you to a banquet dinner in Grieghallen. The dinner will be held in the exhibition area. This will provide a setting for good discussions and networking. Please join us for a sociable and enjoyable night with good food and entertainment with other delegates and speakers.
The Conference Banquet starts at 19.30.
