The Rystad Report “Qualified People in the Subsea Industry” is available for download.
It is said that the subsea industry’s demand for qualified personnel is insatiable. But how great is this need, and is it the same the world over?
For UTC 2013, the program committee wanted to highlight the challenges of attracting and recruiting enough qualified personnel to the subsea industry. It was evident that there were differences in how the market was interpreted with respect to the requirements for qualified people to secure the forecasted growth in the subsea oil & gas market. Most reports were also based on a general outlook for the entire oil & gas market. The Underwater Technology Foundation (UTF), the owner of the Underwater Technology Conference, decided that we were in a position to give something back to the subsea industry. Hence, we decided to send out an invitation to tender for a “Qualified People” analysis based on a global subsea market outlook. Rystad Energy provided the best tender based on their vast experience in elaborating on activity outlooks within several oilfield service areas. The findings of the analysis was presented by Rystad at the UTC2013 conference and all delegates at the conference received a printed copy of the report.
The UTF is very grateful towards the organizing partners NCE Subsea and the Society of Underwater Technology for supporting the initiative that the UTC program committee proposed.
We hope you find the report useful and thank you for participating and hence making it possible for UTF to serve the subsea industry.
