One of the main highlights of UTC 2021 is the Day 1 debate and we are confident that it will both engage and excite all participants!
In 2021, perhaps a watershed year for climate and energy transition policy, we are bringing a new voice to both the debate and the subsea industry; Marius Holm. For those who don’t know him, Marius is CEO at environmental foundation ZERO (Zero Emission Resource Organisation). He has been described as an “important player in the environmental struggle”. He’s known for being a to-the-point and factual debater, so that puts him in a great position to lead our leaders’ debate session themed: “Energy demand versus net zero future – who can bridge the gap?”

Joining him in the debate is a selection of our top-level keynote speakers. We’ve already announced energy minister Tina Bru, International Energy Agency Head of Division Tim Gould, Equinor EVP Arne Sigve Nylund, and Aker Solutions CEO Kjetel Digre. They will now be joined by two further keynote speakers who we are excited to announce; Jarand Rystad, who needs no introduction as head of energy consultancy Rystad, and Monica Bjørkmann, who as chair of Norske Olje & Gass and VP, Subsea 7 Norway AS brings both high level industry insight and supply experience to the table.
This is a lineup for a discussion not to be missed, so join us at UTC, June 16-17, to be at the forefront of the subsea industry in the energy transition.
