Let´s Subsea into the Future
This year, set by the ocean edge at Verftet in Bergen, we are taking a deep dive into the future of subsea. Turning our spotlight to innovations shaping the industry, with a firm recognition of past achievements, and an eager gaze toward where we’re headed.
Historically, the subsea industry has been focused on addressing the challenges of operating in remote locations and in deeper water. Today, subsea is also about meeting the world’s growing energy demand and recognizing the need for cost efficient sustainable solutions.
“While the focus on renewable energy is growing, reducing emissions from existing resources also remains critical. How can we expand and extend the use of subsea solutions for the future?”, says Rune Vesterkjær, Program Committee Chair, about this year’s theme: subsea into the future.
Subsea technology offers a variety of solutions, from extending the life of marginal fields, to integrating offshore wind power, adapting digital solutions and AI, and advancing carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS). Innovation drives this progress.
By engaging operators, suppliers, and engineers early in the process, we can create sustainable and financially viable solutions that meet the needs of a changing world. At UTC, we will meet skilled professionals from Petrobras, TechnipFMC and the Northern Lights CCUS project, among others. It is the perfect opportunity for good collaborations and partnerships, showcasing your ideas and meeting industry experts, leaders and colleagues.
Whether you’re a veteran of the subsea industry’s early days, a champion of renewable energy, or a curious newcomer eager to learn, UTC 2025 has something for you. Join the field trip to Northern Lights and TechnipFMC site, the conference dinner and interesting sessions. With main sponsors Equinor, TechnipFMC and OneSubsea, you get a program filled with inspiration from key players in the industry. Let’s subsea into the future together.
Welcome to Underwater Technology Conference (UTC) 10th-12th of June 2025 – We are looking forward to seeing you!
The most important thing we need to do to solve the trilemma is to collaborate and work together, and find solutions together, across competitors, suppliers, and the whole subsea domain.
– Svein Kjenner, Technip FMC
It has been amazing to connect with so many different people, seeing all the cool developments that Norwegian companies are doing here.
– Frida Berglund, DNV
UTC is a very important conference for us because we’re talking to experts in the field, the people who know what the future is like, business and technology wise. It is great to be here to present the technology.
