Mette Ottøy has worked for Equinor since 2003 and currently holds the position of senior vice president Procurement and supplier relations/ Chief Procurement Officer, responsible for procurement and supplier relationship activities across Equinor. She holds a Doctorate (PhD) and a master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Chemistry, both from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim, Norway. Prior to joining Equinor, Ottøy worked at Norsk Hydro Research Centre Materials Technology. Throughout her career in Equinor, Ottøy has had several management positions, including the position of senior vice president and Country Manager for Tanzania, senior vice president for Operations South in Development and Production Norway. Additionally, she has held several operational leadership positions, both offshore and onshore where she was responsible for different Equinor installations on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. Ottøy has also undertaken corporate responsibilities within safety and sustainability functions.
