The day began as delegates boarded the boat bound for Øygarden and Ågotnes, heading toward exclusive site visits at Northern Lights and TechnipFMC. The journey offered not just stunning coastal views but a chance to witness groundbreaking developments in carbon capture, storage, and subsea technology up close.
At Northern Lights, attendees explored a one-of-a-kind CO₂-capture and -storage infrastructure and ambitious climate initiative. At TechnipFMC, visitors got an insider’s look into advanced subsea systems and the innovation pipeline driving the energy transition. Conversations sparked on deck, continued on land, and returned to sea. The attendees left with fresh perspectives and a shared purpose.
The boat returned to USF Verftet in time for the always-popular Icebreaker Event. Guests were welcomed into the relaxed and creative surroundings of Sardinen, a cultural gem that used to be a sardine factory. With food, drinks, and great company, the atmosphere was perfect for informal networking and catching up with old and new colleagues.
As music and conversation flowed through the evening, the sense of community and forward momentum was remarkable. An ideal prologue to the sessions and dialogue awaiting in the days ahead.
