Engineering simulations have been for years an integrated part of product development processes in the field of energy, including oil & gas and renewable applications. Now, promising applications of artificial intelligence (AI) in the field of simulations may suggest a paradigm shift is about to happen.
In this presentation, we will talk about utilizing AI in the field of high-fidelity simulations. We will show how AI models can be trained on simulation data and can be used to perform new simulations and design optimizations extremely fast. These techniques will significantly speed up repetitive simulation tasks and hence accelerate design iteration cycles.
The following two case studies will be briefly presented:
– Optimization of turbomachinery
– Optimization of wind park performance
